Realizing a life-long dream, Gord and Gail Konantz first saw the Himalayas in 1987. They trekked to Everest Base Camp in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary. Soon after, a partnership was formed with Tashi Sherpa, and every year since they have been guiding small groups through specially selected regions of the Himalaya.

Tashi Sherpa

Tashi Sherpa, EverestTrekking partner in Kathmanduis our long resident partner in Kathmandu. A civil engineer by training, Tashi was the first Sherpa to achieve certification from the
French Alpine Guide Association. He successfully led a Nepali climbing team on Mt. Everest in 1988. He has since supported climbing groups on the world's highest peaks. His organizational skills for our treks are flawless. See his website at www.everesttrekking.net

Erin Anderson

A part of Erin's heart lives in the mountains - whether it be Coastal BC or the Himalaya. There she is at home and delights in sharing with people the beauty and culture that a mountain environment has to offer. Her most recent trek included the summit of Gokyo Ri in the high Everest region.

Judy Moore

Judy is a senior leader for Everest Trekking. Her patience, compassion and love of Nepal and it's people are known by many trekkers who have shared her enthusiasm. To follow Judy on a walking tour of the Kathmandu valley is to see the best that the valley has to offer. To join her on a mountain trek is to realize the trip of a lifetime. Her home is Oakville, Ontario.

Akshay Ahuja

In order to offer an interesting small group experience through Rajasthan and northern India, Everest Trekking has formed an affiliation with Zutshi Travel and Aksay Ahuja in New Delhi. Akshay has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce as well as a Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations. Aksay with his warmth and magnetism cares personally for the needs and comfort of each guest making everyone feel relaxed. Many people return home feeling that they have made a new friend. Enjoy and share India with him as he takes you around this exciting land of mysteries and treats you like a "Maharaja" or " Maharani"!

Ken Kissock

, became passionate about hiking and trekking
when he moved from Ontario 13 years ago. He first experienced the beauty of the Himalayas in 2001 when he trekked for the Alzheimer Society of BC as a fundraiser. He feel in love with Himalayas so much so that he went back to Bhutan in 2005 and now plans on leading groups in both Bhutan and Nepal.

Doug MacLean

Doug has a keen interest in all aspects of mountain travel, culture and climbing. He hails from Canmore and is often seen around Alpine Club of Canada huts pursuing the thrill of back country skiing, hiking or scrambling.
Doug is known to have fallen in love with the Nepal Himalaya. He's looking forward to sharing with you the world's finest hiking in a land rich in ethnic diversity and physical beauty.
